How Long Will My Order take?


This is one of the most important questions anyone has to ask and also one of the most hardest to pinpoint exactly. 


Custom sewing timeframes have a mind of their own. Some days goes well. Other days you want to pull your hair out and everything is taking twice as long as it should. 


I will try to keep my website updated weekly with the current lead time to begin a project. 


What does lead time mean exactly?


It means I will predict how long it’s going to take me to finish the current jobs I have promised. Then my lead time will indicate when I’m ready to start the next job. So if my lead time is two weeks and you place an order today I should be able to start your order in two weeks as long as I have received all items I need from you and materials are in.


Is this a guarantee?


I wish I could say yes but in order to do that I would have to potentially sacrifice quality which I will not do. If the job before you is taking longer than expected I will not rush it as I want everything perfect. I will, however, work longer hours to try to stay on schedule.


What if I have a rush job


Definitely give me a call. While I won’t bump someone out so their order is late I can sometimes work extra and fit you in. 


Once you start my job, how long will it take?


That really depends on the job. For example: A simple zipper repair could only take half an hour. Sewing 8 cushions will take days. Recovering 100 chairs could take a couple weeks 


When I placed my order the lead time was two weeks. Now the lead time on your site says two months!


Do not panick. If the lead time changes, it does no affect your order that was already placed. It is for new orders. If there are any significant changes to my timeframe for an unforeseen reason, I will contact you.
